By joining our executive board, you will be a part of a passionate leadership team committed to uplifting immigrant voices in STEM. You will earn volunteer hours that reflect real, meaningful, and unique impact — because you will help others feel supported, knowing there is a team that truly understands their needs and is dedicated to addressing them. You will help build a project from the ground up, gaining leadership experience and networking with like-minded individuals from around the world who, like you, believe STEM should be accessible to everyone regardless of cultural background. Most of all, you will help bring a vision to life — crafting a space, and being part of that space, which you recognized was needed to unite a community overly present but hardly acknowledged.

Free Entry Blog Manager - Oversees, accepts, and posts blog entries.

Resources Coordinator - Manages the resources tab and adds new information drafted by the founders each month.

News Director - Proposes news stories each week, coordinating with the founders, volunteer writers, and translating team.

Translation Manager - Oversees news and blog translations, ensuring language accessibility and coordinating with volunteers.

Outreach Officer - Helps build partnerships with other organizations and expand our influence.

Online Events Coordinator - Plans virtual panels, designs content to be presented and manages conferences.

Are you passionate about storytelling or breaking language barriers? Do you wish to venture into the world of STEM?
Join us as a News Story Writer or Translator and help amplify immigrant voices in STEM. Gain volunteer hours, strengthen your writing or language skills, and earn potential letters of recommendation --- all while working at your own pace and according to your schedule.
🖋️ Writers: Craft compelling news stories on weekly topic lists and draft outlines, covering topics including immigrant changemakers, or global STEM trends.
🌐 Translators: Help make our stories accessible to the world by translating blogs and new stories.
✨ Bonus: Flexible commitment, potential recognition in our site, and the ability to make a real impact.
Each month we host three STEM conferences where we review the most impactful moments of the month — from discoveries that bring hope to impactful innovations.
Each month we recognize changemakers within our organization, invite them to share their journeys, and open a space for thoughtful discussions on STEM, education, and immigration — crucial topics to our IFS community.
In addition, experts are often invited to speak at our conferences. They share their personal experiences in the STEM field and answer questions previously submitted by our attendees.
Two of our monthly conferences are designed for high school students, while the third is tailored for adults — ensuring a space for everyone.
